1. WORLD'S CHILDREN'S FUND DAY:-
World Children's Day is observed on December 11 of each year. The day began with Joseph Lam, founder and president of the World's Children's Fund (WCF).
2. INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN DAY:-
The year 2002 was the International Year of Mountains. As this year drew to a close, the United Nations (UN) General Assembly proclaimed December 11 to be International Mountain Day. International Mountain Day is an opportunity to create awareness about the importance of mountains to life, to highlight the opportunities and constraints in mountain development and to build partnerships that will bring positive change to the world's mountains and highlands.
